Why Choose Aluminum U Channel Railing Over Galvanized Steel U Channel Railing
U channel railing is a popular architectural glazing design
feature on many projects, internally or externally, to create a clear yet
strong safety barrier. Compared to galvanized steel U channel
railing, aluminum U channel railing comes with
richer surface treatments, lighter weight, and greater durability. As a result,
it is more popular and widely used in the construction industry.
Richer
surface treatments
The surface treatment of galvanized steel U channel railing
is quite limited. Usually, there are only 2 ways: Hot Dip Galvanizing &
Spray Painting. One the contrast, aluminum U channel railing can be treated in
multiple ways, including anodizing, electrophoresis, electrostatic spraying,
woodgrain transfer printing, etc., which enables clients to have more choices.
Lighter
Weight
As is known to all, aluminum is a lightweight metal. As a
result, U channel railing made of aluminum is much lighter than the one made of
galvanized steel, which largely saves the cost of transportation and reduces
the difficulties in assembly.
Greater
durability
Aluminum U channel can be installed overground with better
aesthetic value. It also comes with longer warranty period with good
anti-corrosion performance. Galvanized steel U channel, on the other hand, is
usually buried underground, which appears less attractive and is more likely to
rust, hence the warranty period is much shorter.
